Taking our cue from the torch in the Indiana State Flag, we call our leadership-giving recognition program The Torchbearer Society. The flaming torch in the flag stands for liberty and enlightenment. The six rays radiating from the torch are meant to symbolize the far-reaching influence of those two concepts.
Torchbearers light the path to the future. They illuminate our accomplishments. They show us the way by volunteering to take the lead on issues of vital importance to all of Indiana’s state employees.
Membership in The Torchbearer Society is not for everyone. It is open to those individuals who have the means and the commitment to make a leadership contribution of $1,000 or more through the State Employees' Community Campaign. There are three recognition levels based on the amount of your annual SECC contribution:
In 2011, 186 state employees made such a generous commitment. These men and women truly are leaders. If you would like to join their ranks in 2012, simply make a contribution of $1,000 or more to the charity of your choice through the SECC. You will receive recognition as a member of The Torchbearer Society.
