Evansville Psychiatric Children's Center Pie-throwing Contest

Evansville Psychiatric Children’s Center held a pie-throwing fundraiser for the SECC on Monday, September 22. To keep bees, wasps, and other unwanted insects away, shaving cream was used instead of whipped cream. Five people volunteered to be on the receiving end and wore safety glasses to prevent the shaving cream from getting in their eyes. Plastic-wrapped participants were kept fairly untouched; others chose not to be protected by plastic. Because shaving cream is lightweight, the throwers had the advantage because they had to stand very close to ensure the pie reached its destination!

The contestant who raised the most money during their time in the “hot seat” chose the charity to receive all proceeds. Superintendent Lottie Cook took that honor and chose Prevent Child Abuse of Vanderburgh County.
